Job Description

The Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic supports mixed industrial refrigeration, PLC, and HVAC systems across food processing plants, cold storage warehouses, and distribution centers. Working as part of a small maintenance team, this role performs scheduled maintenance, system diagnostics, repairs, documentation, and safety-compliant refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain industrial refrigeration, PLC, and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment and related systems.
• Handle, recover, and manage refrigerants in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Diagnose equipment issues and conduct diagnostic testing.
• Repair compressors and perform mechanical repairs.
• Test and troubleshoot controls and electrical components.
• Maintain safety compliance during scheduled maintenance activities.
• Manage parts and maintain maintenance logs, regulatory records, work-order reports, and full system documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in industrial refrigeration maintenance.
• Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems and HVAC controls.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, refrigerant recovery, and mechanical repair.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to safety compliance.
• Basic knowledge of TIG and MIG welding.
